CHARITY CONCERT INTERNATIONALE

You are invited to our ‘Zoom’ based Charity Concert. A completely LIVE concert.
 

We have four superb guests for our first virtual charity concert for the accordion. Embracing the benefits of 'Zoom', we can invite international guest players and an audience from around the world, to participate from the comfort of their homes.

We are very grateful to our guests for contributing their performance free of charge for the benefit of our chosen charities. Our guests are:

BRUNO CONTINENZA originates from Cerchio, L'Aquila, Abbruzzo, Italy. He is a graduate of the Ontario Conservatory of Music in Canada and also studied Piano, Theory, and Accordion in Coventry, England.
He lives in Rome where he has run the European School of Music, now operating as Educative School of Music, since 1980, currently assisted by his son, David.
Bruno also demonstrates the MusicTech midi digital accordions.
 

ANNE-MARIE DEVINE is from Strabane in Northern Island. She is the All-Ireland Senior Accordion Champion from the 2012 National Accordion Championships.

Anne-Marie has a number of awards, including Music Personality of the Year 2010 by the Omagh District Council and a 1st class honours degree in Music in 2019.
She performs with duet partner and teacher Sean O'Neill. She now owns her own business ‘Up-Beat Music Tuition’ where she teaches accordion, tin whistle, banjo, and many more classes.
 
GINA BRANNELLI studied piano from the age of 5 and became an accomplished pianist by her early teens.
As well as the Chopin and Mozart Prizes in international piano competitions, she has achieved British, Commonwealth and International titles with the classical accordion. Having turned professional, with her brother John and husband Norman, she played all over the world. Together they played at major hotel groups, top nightspots, had their own television series and won Television and Stage Awards for the best vocal/instrumental group. Gina was chosen as a Golden Master, adding her name to some of the world’s most famous accordionists.












MARIO
CONWAY is a 5-times All Britain Virtuoso Champion from the 1970s, a bronze medallist at the CIA Coupe Mondiale and considered one of the UK's finest classical accordionists. He was the Director of Music at Haberdashers’ Monmouth School for Girls, retiring in 2017 after 35 years.
He has performed in prestigious venues including the Albert Hall, Festival Hall and major countries including America, Russia. He has an eclectic taste in music loving Gershwin/Mahler through the Beatles to Rock Music.
Plus - there will be some light entertainment from North Staffs Accordion Club members, Viv and Peter Cowie
